Safety Engineer

Job Description

Role of Safety Engineer at Site:

• Reporting to Site Safety Lead time to time as per given assignments, given tasks and safety incidences.
• Conducting safety induction to Management Staff, internal audit, training/safety awareness program for all level of Management staff &workers.
• Identify areas for potential accident and health hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
• Monitoring the strict implementation of work permit system.
• Verify the compliance of various statutory rules & regulation and recommendation with respect to safety.
• Training/ assisting supervisors to conduct daily toolbox meetings.
• Investigating accidents /incidents and taking precautionary measures.
• Prepare and review safety guidelines for construction activities like working at height, rigging jobs, crane safety, material handling, and electrical safety proper access.
• Ensuring adequate firefighting at workplace.
• Implementation of international standard of safety.
• Emergency preparedness and conducting fire and rescue drill.

Candidate Specification:

• Any Diploma / bachelor’s in engineering with Diploma in Safety.
• Candidates having experience in Safety management at site preferably in the field of Chemicals, Fertilizers, FMCG, Food processing will be preferred.
• International Codes & Standards and Best Engineering Practices that apply to Process Safety.
• Identify/report technical concerns and solutions in a clear and concise manner.
• Should be able to attend project and team meetings.
• Conduct technical training session for team.
• Proficiency in remote collaboration tools and practices.
• Quality management system and procedures
• Process Safety workflow and interdisciplinary co-ordination.
• Project Process Safety Deliverables
• Adherence to HSE norms
