Roles & Responsibilities:
Oracle DBA 2 :
- Code Migration: This involves moving code, database changes, and Oracle application configuration changes from the development environment to the test environment and finally to the production environment.
- Support to Functional Consultants: This involves providing technical support to functional consultants for any issues they may face.
- Handling tickets: This includes addressing tickets raised by functional/technical/business users.
- Handling Alerts: This involves managing alerts raised by the alert monitoring system from the database and applications.
- Tablespace Reorg Activities: This includes activities to improve the performance and to reclaim the unused space.
- Schema Reorg Activities: This involves reorganizing the schema to improve performance.
- Managing the database's storage structures: This involves managing the physical aspects of the Oracle database.
- Managing users and security: This includes creating, altering, and dropping user accounts; granting and revoking privileges; and maintaining the security of the database.
- Managing schema objects: This involves creating, altering, and dropping schema objects, such as tables, indexes, and views.
- Making database backups and performing recovery when necessary: This involves creating regular backups of the database and performing recovery operations when required.
- Proactively monitoring the database's health: This involves taking preventive or corrective action as required.
- Monitoring and tuning performance: This involves ensuring that the database performance is optimized and tuning it when necessary.
