Amazon’s Vendor Investigations and Transaction Accuracy (VITA) team is looking for a highly motivated Investigations Specialist to join the Transportation Fraud Investigations team onsite in Hyderabad, India. This role will perform comprehensive investigations to identify business problems and identify root causes to prescribe relevant controls. The specialist will work with product and program managers, machine learning teams, risk SMEs across areas, as well as stakeholders outside of VITA based on business requirements. Key job responsibilitiesFunction as a Senior Investigator within the VITA Theft & Transportation Fraud Investigations Team. Provide investigative services and guidance to cross-functional teams throughout the organization (Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Corporate Audit, Field Security and Loss Prevention, related software teams, IT and Fraud Security, and other related areas).• Delivers Results by conducting assigned forensic investigations in a timely manner within an ambiguous environment using data analysis and other tools. • Displays high level of ownership throughout investigation life cycle by defining investigation requirements, facilitating and reporting progress and identifying blockers & providing resolutions. • Supports investigative strategy development & deployment. • Contributes in supporting complex investigations • Supports highly sensitive or high profile investigations.• Works independently as a Project Manager, when required on short / medium term investigations enabling appropriate staffing, establishing procedures and monitoring progress. • Insists on high standards by writing effective deep dive documents summarizing findings and proposing solutions • Identifies gaps and risks in current mechanisms and policies and recommends solutions to policy owning teams.• Identifies technology gaps and work with internal / external tech teams on solutions.• Conducts effective communication of results and updates to stakeholders. • Drives broader risk mitigation activities by working with other teams such as Internal Audit or Loss Prevention (LP). • Provides effective coaching / guidance to team members eager to up skill.About the teamVendor Investigations & Transaction Accuracy (VITA) is a vertical of Global Finance Operations (FinOps) Theft, Fraud, Abuse and Waste (T-FAW) program. VITA identifies, prevents and recovers erroneous, fraudulent or wasteful payments to all vendors globally. VITA uses rule-based models and machine learning (ML) techniques to identify duplicate or fraudulent invoices, data anomalies and potentially fraudulent vendors both in the corporate and retail space.- 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent- Experience handling confidential information- 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials- Experience with SQL and ExcelOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
