About the Role:


We are seeking a talented, innovative, and experienced portfolio management analyst to join our Risk Management team. As an experienced portfolio management analyst, you will be responsible for managing our commercial portfolio’s overall health, the execution, and improvement of credit strategies and policies that enable growth while managing risk across our product line. You should have significant experience and subject matter expertise in financial services, end-to-end credit & fraud lifecycle, risk assessment, workout programs, and early to late stage collection. 


You’ll help design and build scalable processes that mitigate financial risk from new and existing customers. The successful candidate will work closely with members of our data science, strategic analysis, risk, product management, and other stakeholders to deliver best in class customer experience.


What You'll Do:


  • Responsible for Portfolio Management for Commercial Card customers which includes performing analysis on existing portfolio; monitoring and maintaining the credit quality of the unsecured portfolio accounts; working with members of the risk organization to manage the overall health of the portfolio by establishing and executing responsible lending actions (RLA) 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategy recommendations based on data and trend analysis, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Performs timely customer risk assessments which includes evaluation on utilization, credit deterioration, inappropriate usage, inability to repay and high risk transaction and takes responsible lending action if credit risk deteriorates. Additionally, monitors cardholder risk account monitoring for fraud and exposure limits
  • Manage customer interaction while conducting credit reviews, including; obtaining supporting documents, explanation of policies, decision and applicable regulations and laws specific to credit and risk management
  • Ensure compliance with policies and all applicable US regulatory and customer due diligence laws within assigned responsibilities.
  • Provide summarized business updates on existing portfolio management efforts, emerging trends, customer feedback and efficiency of existing strategies
  • Perform financial statement analysis, bank statement analysis, financial spreading & account analysis, evaluate industry analysis and determining appropriate credit limit

What We're Looking For:


  • 4+ years of proven experience as a portfolio management analyst supporting US commercial credit products, preferably cards
  • Knowledge of U.S. credit, fraud, collection and risk management techniques
  • Familiarity with legal, regulatory and compliance framework for commercial products (e.g. FDCPA, CARD ACT, ECOA, UDAAP & TILA)
  • Posses strong analytical ability and comfortable working within a performance based structure
  • Ability to communicate directly with customer through multi-channel (email, chat, phone, etc.) collection methodology
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and proficient in negotiation, problem solving, probing with one call resolution
  • End to end comprehension of the entire credit journey including underwriting, collections, fraud and risk management
