The Research and Technology Center at Bangalore focuses on research in time series analysis, natural language processing, computer vision, numerical methods for embedded real time systems, and hybrid modelling (Scientific Machine Learning - SciML).  We pursue research and development by working with top-tier universities worldwide and our corporate partners.



Job Description

For this role, the focus is set on advanced simulation of vibration and structural mechanics.


  • You’ll be a part of our team and model vibrations in automotive components.
  • You will simulate 3D multi-physics models using numerical simulations, scripting and programming.
  • You will develop better modeling strategies for vibration.
  • Furthermore, you combine physics-based models with data-based approaches.
  • You will work in international teams and perform necessary development/implementation to accomplish the tasks.
  • Publish research findings in reputable journals and conferences.

Required skills:


  • Excellent knowledge of solid mechanics
  • Expertise in vibration modeling• Sound fundamentals of Finite Element Methods
  • Excellent programming skills in python, C, C++
  • Proficiency in Abaqus tool• Good knowledge of partial differential equations
  • Sound fundamentals of Numerical methods for engineering problems
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

Preferable skills:


  • Experience with simulation tools: Matlab, Simulink and Ansys will be added advantage.
  • Application knowledge in at least one of the areas of mobility, industrial technology, consumer goods or energy and building technology

Qualifications

MS/M.Tech, PhD from top Indian institutes (IITs, IIITs, IISc etc.) or from top international institutes with good track record of research publications related to, Computational mechanics , Structural mechanics
