Your key responsibilities
DWS is looking to hire an Investment Grade Credit Analyst, who will be a key member of our global research platform analyzing sectors, companies, and individual bonds developing credit opinions under the guidance of a senior analyst.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct rigorous independent fundamental credit research on companies under coverage
- Work with senior analyst to develop investment recommendations for dissemination to the global platform
- Good understanding of sectors like industrials, leisure or hospitality would be a positive
- Monitor credit, sector, and market performance to adjust relative value recommendations
- Build and maintain financial models, track company news, earnings and other corporate events
- Analyze prospectuses to determine structure and covenants for new and secondary issues
- Develop relationship with the street (sales, trading, syndicate)
Your skills and experience
Education and Qualifications:
We are looking for a candidate with strong academic credentials with a degree in Engineering, Finance, computer science, or Economics with 4 to 8 years’ experience in the financial markets. The ideal candidate should have the following skill sets:
- Strong excel skills, programming ability would be a positive
- Ability to analyze complex information in a timely manner
- Strong analytical skills with forward thinking mindset
- Attention to detail, self-motivated, and a passion for the markets and investing
- Strong communication skills verbal and written with the ability to write succinct reports providing clear recommendation
- Experience analyzing corporate and financial structures and covenants, a credit training program and/or CFA would be a positive
Personal Characteristics:
- Highly motivated and self-sufficient, with a strong willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Diligent, efficient, and able to manage multiple conflicting deliverables including working under pressure.
- Comfortable in a technical environment and with the general mathematical concepts of finance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
