Job Description

Job Title: Psychology Teacher
Salary - 40 K to 70K between without any benefits

Location - Powai local candidates will be prefer

Experience: Previous teaching 2 to 4 years experience is preferred, especially in teaching psychology at the high school or college level.

Job Summary:

The Psychology teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction on psychological theories, research methods, and key concepts. The role includes creating an engaging learning environment, designing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and promoting the understanding and application of psychology in real-world contexts.


Qualifications:
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Psychology is required. A master’s or doctoral degree in Psychology or Education may be preferred, especially for higher education roles.
  • Skills:

    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to explain complex psychological concepts in a clear and engaging way.
    • Knowledge of psychological theories, research methods, and current trends.
    • Classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in active learning.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Instruction and Curriculum Development:


    • Teach psychology at the high school or college level, covering topics such as cognitive, behavioral, social, and developmental psychology.
    • Develop and update lesson plans, course materials, and assessments to meet educational standards.
    • Present lessons in an engaging and accessible way, using various teaching methods (lectures, discussions, multimedia, etc.).
  2. Student Assessment and Support:


    • Assess student performance through tests, assignments, projects, and classroom participation.
    • Provide constructive feedback to students to guide their academic progress.
    • Offer additional support to students needing help with coursework or understanding complex topics.
    • Encourage critical thinking, research skills, and the practical application of psychological concepts.
  3. Classroom Management:


    • Maintain a positive, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
    • Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures.
    • Address student behavior issues and promote collaboration and respect among peers.
  4. Professional Development:


    • Stay updated on the latest developments in psychology and education.
    • Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and conferences to enhance teaching strategies and psychological knowledge.
  5. Administrative Duties:


    • Keep accurate records of student grades, attendance, and academic progress.
    • Collaborate with other faculty members to coordinate interdisciplinary lessons and activities.
    • Communicate effectively with students, parents (if applicable), and other staff members.
