The candidate will be responsible for driving the Business Intelligence strategy and implementation. They will play a crucial role in understanding and documenting business needs, designing and developing comprehensive BI solutions that align with organizational goals. This includes identifying and implementing data acquisition programs, facilitating the creation of appropriate data models, and building impactful visualizations that transform raw data into actionable insights for decision-makers.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary thinker, capable of assessing the current BI landscape and defining an innovative future state that addresses both immediate and long-term business requirements. What this job involves:

Data Analysis and Solution Design: This aspect of the job involves a comprehensive approach to business intelligence. The professional will be responsible for documenting and analyzing business needs for BI solutions, ensuring they align with both current and future requirements. They will design, develop, and implement comprehensive data models and acquisition programs to support these needs. A key part of this role is creating compelling visualizations and dashboards that transform complex data into actionable insights. Additionally, they will evaluate the current BI landscape and define innovative future state solutions specifically for the APAC region.

Technology Leadership and Innovation: In this capacity, the role requires staying at the cutting edge of BI trends and ensuring JLL remains a leader in industry innovation. The professional will inspire and educate the PDS business on the power of technology and data, fostering a culture of innovation. They will continuously evaluate and recommend new BI tools and technologies to improve business processes. This involves not just keeping up with trends, but actively seeking out and implementing innovative solutions that can give JLL a competitive edge in the market.

Collaboration with Knowledge Sharing: This job emphasizes the importance of collaboration and knowledge dissemination within the organization. The professional will network with the wider JLL community to share ideas and align on technology and innovation initiatives. They will facilitate knowledge sharing and promote data-driven decision making throughout the organization. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is crucial in implementing BI strategies that deliver optimal outcomes. They will continuously evaluate and recommend new BI tools and technologies to improve business processes, always with the end goal of enhancing client service and outcomes. Employee specification

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the data space
• Minimum of 3 years’ data engineer experience leading Digital Data transformation programmes
• Involvement in or delivery of a successful multi regional digital data initiative.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
• Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Strong analytic skills related to working with structure and unstructured datasets.
• Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
• A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets.
• Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores.
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with Microsoft cloud services: Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Search, Purview
• Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with version and source control (Git) and Azure DevOps.
• Experience in APIs and API Management
• Shift timings: 8 AM - 5 PM IST
• Location: Gurugram, Haryana

Additional Skills that will be sought after and valued

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a quantitative discipline in science, or social science.  Advance degree and/or 1-2 years of experience in the fields of information science, computer science or analytics preferred.
• Business model knowledge and ability to scope a business problem and quantify numerically.
• 2+ Years knowledge of standard analytical, reporting and programming languages and their applications (such as SQL, R, SSRS, Python, MATLAB)
• Understanding of Data Wrangling: Data Discovery, Acquisition & Transformation process and the specific use of tools to support Self Service data preparation and data governance.
• Understanding of machine Learning or statistical models.
• Previous experience working within Big Data Platforms beneficial.
• Understanding of data and systems engineering concepts to effectively integrate and analyze data to develop actionable business information deliverables.
• Solid understanding of database design and modelling to facilitate the development of optimized BI models is a must.
• Capability to self-learn new software applications and programming languages.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
• Experience of agile project management or lean six sigma with related certifications
• Experience working in large global organizations with geographically dispersed teams and complex technical environments.
• Strong customer focus with a demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with business and technical team.
