Job Description

The Regional Delivery Lead is responsible for managing a portfolio of projects for the sub region of India and South East Asia. This includes directly implementing and delivering our software implementation projects as well as providing governance and oversight to projects executed by other Project Managers in the region. The job involves working closely with other project team members, peer project managers and partner consulting teams. Provide consulting services to external clients. Overall engagement and delivery responsibilities for all projects across tax and legal in the region.


Client Service - responsible for directing the project team and other project managers; assumes ownership and responsibility for project delivery, project planning, work product, quality control, customer satisfaction and client management.


Project Management - leads project planning sessions with Project Managers and team members to outline scope and approach. Typically works on multiple complex projects/issues at a time that often requires a strong subject matter expertise. Often works as a member of the project team(s). Identifies ways to improve the operation of own area and to achieve efficiencies and results. The incumbent is responsible to meet revenue and utilization metrics as defined by management.


Program Management – Overseeing projects in the region managed by other Project Managers. Participating in Kick off Meetings, Steering Committee meetings and acting as the second level escalation for the customer.


Communications/Status Reporting - maintains a clear line of communication with client and team. Prepares status updates for projects and regularly communicates and shares knowledge with rest of the firm.


Leadership - spends a portion of time managing team and other project managers or providing guidance. Has autonomy to make exceptions that follow established guidelines. Responsible for cost of own projects in the region, and/or contributing to forecasting budgets and recommending expenditure. Responsible for quality and timeliness of own work, as well as accountability for the region. Broad decision-making authority for routine issues. Provides key insights and formulates recommendations to the broader function.


About the role:
Required Skills (Must have), Necessary industry Experience & associated number of years of experience:


1. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal


2. Must have working experience with Consulting Implementation projects.


3. Must have experience in consulting or supporting clients in India and/or South East Asia – either over conference calls or in-person


4. Must be able to demonstrate analytical/critical thinking


5. Must have 12+ years of Project Management Experience including 2+ years of Program Management Experience Experience managing senior people / project managers


6. Must have good understanding of O2C (order to cash) and/or P2P (procure to pay) business processes.


7. Must have experience implementing full life cycle ERP projects preferably on SAP or Oracle Experience with integrating third party enterprise tax products (e.g. ONE SOURCE, Taxware, Avalara and/or Vertex) is highly desired


8. Must be able to travel within the region. Up to 30% travel is expected. 


9. Experience working for consulting or professional services organizations ie. Systems Integrators, ERP consulting firms or “Big-4”, specializing in the areas of trade management, supply chain management, transportation management and/or tax technology.


10. Strong client relationship management skills.


11. Good communication and coordinating skill.


12. Effectively communicate project expectations to all team members and stakeholders including client senior management, business representatives, partners, customers, and consultants.


13. Excellent English communication skill.


14. Excellent Inter Personal skills.


15. Experience on managing Cloud Implementation projects.


16. 10+ years of experience in implementing ERP projects.


17. PMI Certification will be a plus
