Job Description
Overall Responsibility: The Regional Coordinator will support the structuration and management of data at the regional level, performing a wide range of analytics-related activities to analyze, specify, and validate data, providing insights to support business strategy related to sustainability. This role also involves working closely with the regional manager on budget planning and annual strategies, acting as a controller to ensure financial and operational targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Management and Analysis:
- Develop and maintain databases to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across the region.
- Design and harmonize data collection surveys for coffee farmers and supply chain intermediaries.
- Ensure data quality through thorough checks and analysis.
- Analyze and interpret sustainability metrics within the coffee supply chain.
- Create and manage data visualization dashboards using Power BI to facilitate monthly reporting of activities.
2. Support to Country Managers:
- Assist country managers in developing and maintaining their local databases.
- Develop and support procedures as required.
- Provide training and support on data management tools and best practices.
- Ensure consistency and standardization of data across different countries in the region.
- Support country managers in structuring and cleaning data for compliance and reporting purposes.
3. Budget and Planning:
- Work closely with the regional manager to develop and monitor the annual budget and plan for the region.
- Act as a controller to track expenditures and ensure alignment with the budget.
- Prepare financial reports and analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
4. Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare monthly reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting progress and achievements.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to regional and country management teams.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on sustainability initiatives and targets.
5. Compliance and Monitoring:
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant Group Code of Conducts, legal demands, and ethical standards.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments related to coffee sustainability.
- Support the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and action plans.
6. General Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the regional manager.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Economics, Data Science, Business Administration, Sustainability, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the agri-industry.
- Proficiency in data management and visualization tools, especially Power BI.
- Good understanding of information technology. Data Science and AI skills will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to absorb and synthesize new information quickly.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Experience in budget planning and financial analysis is a plus.
