Job Description

Deswik Software Solutions India Private Limited is a part of Sandvik Group. The accountant’s main responsibilities are to provide support to the Regional Finance and Territory Manager India through the day-to-day management of the business administration and financial services for Deswik India entity.


The focus areas for the position are responsibility of full cycle accounting for Deswik India entity, oversight of accounting service providers for domestic and international tax compliance (including monthly/quarterly tax filings, annual income tax filings, indirect taxes, payroll, employment taxes, cross-border taxes etc.), and assist in corporate secretarial affairs for Deswik India. 


The position will also require AP and AR processing on a day-to-day basis along with ad-hoc administrative tasks for the Deswik India entity.


Key Responsibilities –


General Accounting:


Manage all aspects of accounting for the Deswik entity.


Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.


Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.


Manage payroll related activities.


Provide necessary information and documents to consultants or auditors for audits and ensure timely and accurate submission of audit requirements.


Accounts Payable and Receivable:


Prepare and process and manage vendor/customer invoices and payments/receivables.


Reconcile AP/AR transactions and resolve discrepancies.


Tax Compliance


Oversee accounting service providers for domestic and international tax compliance.


Handle monthly/quarterly direct and indirect tax filings, including GST and TDS.


Manage annual income tax filings and annual indirect tax filings.


Ensure compliance with payroll and employment taxes (PT, PF, etc.).


Secretarial Compliances


Assist Company Secretary with corporate secretarial compliances.


Qualifications:


  • MBA Finance with 3-5 years of experience or CA/CMA-Inter qualified with 1-2 years of experience from a medium-sized corporate.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting and tax regulations.
  • Excellent technology skills, with strong Excel and/or data analysis skills.
  • Experience with Xero or similar-sized ERPs.
  • Fluency in English is a must – speaking, reading, and writing.
