Job Description

J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management, is a global leader in investment and wealth management firm with client assets of $2.4 trillion.  The division offers investment management across all major asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives, multi-asset and money market funds. Clients include institutions, high-net-worth individuals and retail investors in every major market globally.


As a specialist in Reference Data Team, you will be managing Index Operations which requires good understanding of Index data and its usage in the business. You will be expected to demonstrate a level of understanding of market reference data, and preferably a background within index processing


Job Responsibilities


  • Manage day-to-day BAU within index data management operations supporting the AWM business.
  • Handle exceptions for any data issues impacting downstream processes.
  • Liaise with the Technology team to resolve technical data quality issues and exceptions.
  • Collaborate with index producers to validate and resolve data issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on benchmark issues through to resolution, implementing controls where necessary.
  • Work with business groups and support functions to coordinate and action any new index requirements.
  • Validate licensing requirements and collaborate with the vendor licensing team to define licenses.
  • Manage exception management and provide consumer support.
  • Escalate issues appropriately and work towards their closure.
  • Maintain documentation and regularly refresh operational activities.
  • Manage various market vendors.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills 


  • You must have at least 2+ years of experience in Finance, Banking & Consulting industries
  • 1 or more years of experience with Asset and Wealth Management products and processes
  • Detailed knowledge of instruments, indexes
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required. 
  • Strong communications skills both written and verbal
  • Good technical ability with core Microsoft products.
  • Controls and innovation mind-set
  • Good Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
  • Excellent Time Management Skills and highly result oriented
