You will be responsible for maintaining and reviewing Reference Data and input key parameters into the systems of JP Morgan.


As a Vice President of Finance Reference Data within the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) Finance & Business Management Central Planning & Analysis team, you will be responsible for owning the management and governance of financial reference data. This role you will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial reference data, which is critical for decision-making and operational efficiency along with being responsible for day-to-day operations, governing the cost center maintenance and drive strategic projects. Your contribution will be vital in enhancing data quality across critical reference data parameters for Standard and Alternate Hierarchies and ensuring proper controls are in place. You will also be interacting with multiple Operations & technology teams and different Lines of Business within the organization to (re)design processes.


Job responsibilities:


  1. Data Governance and Strategy:
    • Developing and implementing a comprehensive framework for financial reference data within CIB. Establishing policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and security. Defining and executing a strategic roadmap for data management initiatives.
  2. Data Management:
    • Overseeing the collection, validating, and maintaining of financial reference data. Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data used for financial reporting, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Implement data quality controls and monitoring processes.
  3. Operations :
    • Proactively identifying issues and co-ordinate with the relevant functions internally (e.g.: FRD, sub- Line of Business, etc.) for prompt resolution within set time-frame parameters. Delivering controls in the process to ensure 100% accuracy and compliance to firmwide rules & timelines. Resolving issues in a time bound fashion and providing regular update to senior management on BAU, projects etc. Generating reports and scorecards, present them in calls, provide capacity and contingency planning. Monitoring Workflow and managing internal Service Level Agreement and communicate performance to stakeholders through effective reporting.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills


  • Finance Professional with 10+ years of experience.
  • Skilled in MS office applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. 
  • Strategic and transformation mindset with an ability to drive innovation and change. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage senior stakeholders. 
  • Familiarity with Business knowledge i.e. Banking process and system knowledge required.
  • Inclusive leadership skills with the ability to identify talent, recruit, coach, mentor, and develop team members to ensure the team's activities support Operations in attaining its strategic goals.
  • Ability to deal with day-to-day issues as well as planning and executing projects / initiatives.
  • Ability to know when a deep-dive approach is appropriate with excellent attention to detail. Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with proven team management skills.
