Job Description

Role: Rebates AnalystLocation: PuneLife Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew, we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.The Rebate Analyst will be a part of the Rebates Center of Excellence (CoE) team supporting the Rebates process based in GBS Pune. The incumbent will perform all activities related to rebate calculation and accrual and other related activities required for this role.What will you be doing?Responsible for the accurate evaluation and interpretation of customer contracts to ensure payments and accruals are calculated accurately and issued timely as per the terms and conditions of the contracts.Ensure on time preparation and delivery of all customer results that are contractually and legally obligated to provide to our customers (reconciliation statements, credit memos, contract performance reports, etc.) and highlight any issues or challenges.Maintain an effective customer focus and lead all aspects of account assignmentsParticipate and assist in operational improvement initiatives and/or creation of new procedures to provide improved internal and external customer support and service and Participate and contribute to special projects as needed.Responsible for the identification and analysis of any disputed rebate claims data!Gain knowledge of S&N products and franchises to accurately adjudicate rebates.Maintain systems and logs to track status of contracts and rebate processing for review by contract/rebates senior analysts and managers)Possess the ability to test and understand the functionality of mainframe and PC or web-based applications and to understand the interrelationships between the various functional modulesResponsible for adhering to all company and departmental policies and procedureStrong analytical skills and problem solving and decision-making abilities; including the ability to identify trends and problemsHighly motivated teammate, high level of initiative-taking & customer service focused attitude, and the ability to lead and empower others.What will you need to be successful?Graduate with B. Com / M. Com / CA Inter / ICWA / ICFAI / MBA, with a specialization in Finance or Accounting.Should have min 3-5 years of proven experience in the field of rebates and chargeback process.Prior experience inthe rebate process/calculation and contract administration is preferred.Prior experience in Chargeback process is preferred.Should have a solid understanding of MS Office, Excel, etc. Should have proven understanding of SAP or similar finance ERP.Ability to tackle practical problems and take care of a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Ability to read and/or comprehend written and oral instructions. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.About Team:The Rebates CoE team is a part of the GBS organization, responsible for managing the rebate process.Life.
