Job Description

R2R Senior Process Associate (Pune, India)“Life Unlimited” At Smith+Nephew. We design and Manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.This role is involved in delivery of effective and efficient finance transactional processes and controls as described in the Finance Record to Report (R2R) taxonomy and in line with the Group Finance Manual, Minimum Acceptable Practices (MAPs) and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.What will you be doing?
  • As a R2R team member the incumbent is expected to assist in all activities related to R2R, book close, Audits, inventory files, Journals and ad-hoc requests from reporting team.
  • Prepare and record journal entries in the General Ledger in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS
  • Perform variance analysis of balance sheet and P&L accounts monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Prepares balance sheet reconciliations and correcting journal entries to address balancing items.
  • Provide financial data schedules to support auditor and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requests.
  • Participate in SOX walkthroughs and must be able to evidence compliance with internal controls.
  • Analyze transactions, understands and explains variances, and proactively identifies potential problems and solutions.
  • Ability to recognize unusual transactions, trends, or variations and communicate findings to supervisor or manager. Assist in Audits/Budgets and reporting team members during month end close.
What will you need to be Successful?Education: Graduation / Post Graduation Degree - B.Com / M.Com / MBA.Minimum 3 to 6 years of work experience working for R2R domain.Proficient with using MS Office tools- Excel and SAP.Ability to apply logical reasoning to solve problems.Ready to accept new work and adopt new tools.Good written and verbal communication skills.Flexible to work in any shift.You.
