Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering [Electrical Electronics & Power or Power Electronics]
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in power quality solution product development & Quality requirements.
- R&D project management experience (PLM process) will be an added advantage. Technical Skills & Domain knowledge:
- Core knowledge of Power quality solution products viz. Thyristor Switching Module (TSM),Active Power Filter (APF), Static VAR Generator (SVG), APFC controllers, Hybrid Active Power Factor Correction system (HAPFCs), Harmonics filters etc.
- Well versed with digital offerings for power quality monitoring, analysis & simulation software.
- Undertake Power System studies relating to steady stage, transient, power quality and small signal power system performance on transmission and distribution products including microgrids and/or hybrid grids.
- Produce high quality reports/documentation, study findings, results and recommendations.
- Constantly analyses product portfolio of the dedicated customers client overall goals and objectives.
- Checks with Developers, system architects and Management on customer’s side options to integrate Siemens' products and gives strategic, commercial, and organizational recommendations.
- Manage and deliver power quality analysis, planning and protection studies.
- Application of power systems planning and protection principles, simulation and analysis of power system steady state and dynamic behaviors, development of mathematical models for assessment of electrical networks.
- Knowledge of relevant/applicable product standard, testing & certification requirements, system tests is a must. Project Management skills:
- Create and control specifications according to the PLM-Process (development specification).
- Evaluating of current market requirements and Leading-Edge-technologies (Benchmarks).
- Complying with legal regulations (e.g. environmental protection, product safety, responsibility for instruction) and relevant standards.
- Developing of project budgets and timetables according to PLM-Process.
- Defining the project organization.
- Clarifying the patent situation.
- Leading, planning and preparing of project meetings.
- Tracking of project and controlling of project process (target-performance comparison), corrective action
- Clarifying the details of procurement (specifications, selecting suppliers, terms of business) in collaboration with the purchasing department. Capabilities:
