Hitachi Energy is currently looking for R&D Product Development Engineer - Transformer Bushings for the Transformers Business to join their team in Vadodara India. This team seeks a skilled and motivated individual.

Mission Statement:
The R&D Product Development Engineer responsible for the success of all assigned projects and works within a cross-functional team across the organization for the bushing product production and testing.
Your responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be part of R&D Team specialized in the Development of AC Bushings.
Performing various electrical calculations like dielectrics, statistics etc.
Performing root cause analysis, Failure investigation and troubleshooting.
Should be proficient on insulating materials, manufacturing process and development testing of new product.
Also needs to have good understanding on high voltage testing of product, dielectric circuit calculations and relevant electrical simulations.
Test object preparation, test document preparation, co-ordination with production and test laboratories.
Should have knowledge on manufacturing technologies, material knowledge etc.
Identify potential issues / perform detailed analysis to determine failure root cause and implement appropriate solutions.
Coordinate with the Global R&D teams, good communication skills and experience on various technical document preparation.

Your background:
Master’s degree in electrical engineering from an Accredited University with 3+ years of development and testing of HV Condenser Bushing/Instrument Transformers
Sound working knowledge of dielectric materials, high voltage testing and measurement.
Working knowledge of IEC standards and type testing of Bushings
Good Experience in using commercial simulation tools (dielectric, magnetic, and thermal) like COMSOL.
Experience in development tests and type testing of the products
Understanding of Intellectual Property related processes (Prior Art Search, Freedom to Operate, etc.)
Person should be pro-active with high enthusiasm, open minded with positive attitude. Exemplary technical writing and presentation skills
Excellent communications as well as organizational and interpersonal skill.
Willingness to travel and ability to interact with colleagues in different HE units.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required .
