Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a research and development facility with around 500 R&D engineers, specialists, and experts, who focus on creating and sustaining digital solutions, new products and technology. This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification. The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore. IDC collaborates with the R&D and Research centres of Hitachi Energy, which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries.
In the past 20 years, IDC has secured more than 200 international papers and 150+ patents.

Mission Statement:

You will be part of Hitachi Energy, you will be responsible working with colleagues on the QA team to design, create, and maintain manual and automated testing frameworks for the e-mesh Energy Platform focusing on non-functional requirements.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain performance tests for UI and APIs that integrate with our CI\CD pipelines 

  
  

• Develop and maintain load and stress tests for critical components of the e-mesh Energy Platform 

  
  

• Assist in tracking and promoting for better test coverage across the development team 

  
  

•  Integrate performance tests result and have sharable reports across the organization stakeholders 

  
  

• Evaluation of possible layers of test automation vs. manual tests from non-functional standpoint 

  
  

• Document automated testing framework, environments, and how-to articles

  
  

• Understand the business use case to quantify and propose how to size environments computational needs 

  
  

• Proactively engage and propose ideas to expand the testing setup.

Your Background:

• 5+ years of experience in QA with at least 3-5 years focusing on performance testing, test automation and test framework development with focus on non-functional requirements. 

  
  

• Experience with Cloud, IoT, SaaS applications is a must 

  
  

• Strong technical test skills with a demonstrated track record of adopting and effectively using new tools and technologies.

  
  

• Proficiency in .NET/C#

  
  

• Experience with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, Powershell, Shell, 

  
  

• Proficiency with automated testing tools (for example Selenium, pytest, RestSharp)

  
  

• Strong knowledge with Kubernetes 

  
  

• Proficiency with source control (e.g. Git), CI/CD (for example Azure DevOps)

  
  

• Proficiency with Docker and Linux 

  
  

• Experience with Agile/Scrum practices 

  
  

• Experience with generating automated test reports and CI/CD test integration.

  
  

• Experience with tools like Postman or Swagger 

  
  

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure (or similar like AWS, Google Cloud) and cloud-based application patterns preferred

  
  

• Strong communication skills with multiple stakeholders in different time zones

  
  

• Experience with databases (timeseries and rational databases)

  
  

• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
