Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in cost estimation, contract management, and project budgeting. The candidate must possess excellent analytical skills and a deep understanding of construction methodologies, contract laws, and cost control measures.

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
  
• Develop budget plans to ensure cost control throughout the project.
  
• Analyze contract documents and tender submissions.
  
• Prepare and evaluate bills of quantities (BOQ) and cost breakups.
  
• Negotiate contract terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
  
• Monitor actual project costs against budget estimates.
  
• Provide detailed cost analysis reports and financial forecasts.
  
• Identify and resolve cost overruns or budget discrepancies.
  
• Conduct site visits for measurement verification.
  
• Prepare valuation reports and progress claims.
  
• Assess and validate variations in project scope and pricing.
  
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and consultants to obtain competitive pricing.
  
• Ensure timely procurement of materials within the allocated budget.
  
• Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and legal regulations.
  
• Identify potential financial risks and provide solutions.
  

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  
• Certification in Cost Management / Contracts / Estimation is an added advantage.
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and QS software (CostX, Candy, Primavera, etc.)
  
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC, JCT, NEC, etc.)
  
• Understanding of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and tender evaluation.
  
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
