About our Team:


LexisNexis® Risk Solutions Group (RSG) are seeking an experienced full stack Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join one of our highly successful flagship brands in the financial services market, working in an Agile and rapidly expanding global environment. You will be part of a team that is driving fast-paced growth, innovation and a startup mindset in a global corporate enterprise.



About the Role:


The role will focus on adding business value by delivering new modules and features as well as supporting releases of our existing products. You will be working in a new team of specialist engineers, working with new platforms, with a commitment to continuous improvement and the adoption of development and delivery best practices. The successful candidate will be a QA Engineer who not only has experience with automating tests via application frontend but will also demonstrate the desire to collaborate with some of the best developers in their field with the view of designing and developing quality, via automated tests, into products rather than inspecting for issues later in the release cycle.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute automated and performance testing for assigned projects to enable delivery of high-quality software products and services successfully and consistently on time, on budget, and to specification.


  • Collaborate with Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations teams to plan testing for delivery of products and enhancements and to assure products meet product requirements and quality standards.


  • Maintain flexibility to react quickly to changes in priorities or circumstances to meet the needs of the business.


  • Work with QA/Testing staff, project managers, technical leads, and subject matter experts to plan and execute automated and performance tests.


  • Report issues and results, researching and identifying root causes as appropriate, documenting accordingly.


  • Identify opportunities to apply existing automation or other tools to meet testing needs.


  • Research and identify root causes of performance issues in partnership with architects, developers, and network and system engineers.


  • Conduct project reviews, ensuring review criteria are defined, and implement procedures for ensuring quality control of project deliverables.


Requirements:


  • Be a proven automation engineer with experience in JavaScript running in Node.js using a JavaScript automation testing framework such as NightwatchJs, Cypress.io, Jasmine, Mocha etc.


  • Have experience with Behaviour Driven Development and testing tools like Cucumber.


  • Have experience of integrating automated tests with continuous integration pipelines such as Jenkins


  • Have experience with Git / BitBucket SCM.


  • Have experience of working in an Agile Development environment (Scrum/Kanban)


  • Have proven experience with Selenium Webdriver and Selenium Grid and cross browser testing.


  • Be proficient working with Jira or similar system.


  • Have proven ability to develop and execute automated functional, non-functional and performance testing.


  • Have a proactive approach to problem solving and strong research skills (tools/root cause analysis)


  • Be able to pair with developers.


  • 4+ years of QA Test Engineering experience


  • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
