Work Experience: 7-10 years of experience
Job Responsibilities:
? Execute the complete component approval process as per the defined procedures.
? Maintain accurate records of component qualifications and approvals.
? Test and evaluate new component samples against specifications and applications.
? Verify test reports and other related documentation for components.
? Address technical queries related to components.
? Collaborate with SQM teams in Hebburn and Berlin when needed for technical consultations.
? Ensure qualified and preferred suppliers are used for new developments.
? Validate and ensure the usage of qualified components wherever applicable.
? Follow up on corrective actions for issues identified during component qualification.
? Participate in technical reviews with suppliers.
? Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
activities.
? Assist Strategic Procurement in identifying alternate sources for different components.
? Conduct supplier audits to evaluate and select suppliers as per VDA 6.3 (Verband der
Automobilindustrie).
? Support process improvements at supplier facilities.
? Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for component-related issues.
? Maintain and retain documentation as per QMS requirements.
? Strive to achieve and exceed agreed KPIs.
? Execute tasks as assigned by the reporting manager.
? Address component-related production issues and contribute to solutions and improvements.
Technical Competencies:
? Proficient in reading, analysing, and understanding specifications and technical drawings.
? Strong understanding of various mechanical components and their manufacturing processes.
? Comprehensive knowledge of component CTQs, testing methodologies, GD & T’s and validation
processes.
? Expertise in failure analysis of components and ability to identify root causes and drive
corrective actions and improvements effectively.
? Skilled in using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D Problem-Solving and
Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CA/PA)
? Hands-on experience with component testing and validation processes.

? 7QC Tools, Automotive Core Tools (APQP).
? Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
? Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
? Statistical Process Control (SPC).
? Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
