Quality Control Manager

Looking for a Quality Production Professional with a strong quality background in Quality Control: Incoming Inspection and Routine testing with knowledge of Problem solving and issue resolution in Customer Service Business Segment on assembled Medium Voltage / Low Voltage Air Insulated Switchgears and its retrofit solutions.

Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:
•Establish, implement routine testing norms involving team members to implement in their routine work.
•Collect, analyse and publish product quality related data (FPY, DPT & Q No.) & initiate corrective and preventive measures as required with help of cross function team.
•Perform and co-ordinate incoming inspection on vendor material on receipt and report serious quality issues of materials to vendor and reject the material to get replacement from vendor through NCR & reverse PO process
•Mobilize resources for routine testing of products related to Customer Service
•Take lessons learned, and best practices from previous and comparable, share information with CS team and run LL session for executed project with all stakeholders
•Handling & Monitoring Customer Complaints + Retrofit Site Commissiong Issues
•Knowledge of necessary tools like M-Tool, ISP
•Vendor Job Inspection & Rework/Rejection Monitoring – To coordinate for smooth working in achieving objective of right time delivery with Quality
•Take lessons learned, and best practices, share information with CS team and run LL session for executed project with all stakeholders
•Handling & Monitoring Customer Complaints + Retrofit Site Commissiong Issues
•Vendor Job Inspection & Rework/Rejection Monitoring – To coordinate for smooth working in achieving objective of right time delivery with Quality
•Co-ordinate and conduct with Customer Factory Acceptance Tests and also site topics
•Plan and do the necessary calibration and maintenance of testing equipment
•Take corrective actions as required to continuously improving the efficiency/effectiveness of the processes.
•Provide input to process planning department for tools, fixtures & testing equipment required during testing 
•Participate in ISO internal / external audit
•Analyse non-conformance / observation and implement corrective & preventive action.
•Support the QM team in implementation of IMS
•Ensure all compliance to statutory requirements as per EHS guidelines on a continuous basis. 
•Visit vendors for improvement activities based on testing and shop floor inputs.
•Provide feedback to concerned engineering team regarding drawing related issues.
•Provide the necessary support to customer care department to resolve the site issue.
What do I need to qualify for this job? 
•Diploma/ bachelor’s in engineering (preferably Electrical) or its equivalent  
•Minimum 10 years’ experience in Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality
•Must be technically sound in manufacturing and testing processes of Medium Voltage Air Insulated and Low Voltage Switchgears, should possess excellent analytical skills with strong attention to details.  
•Knowledge of relevant IEC 62271-1/100/200 standards for Medium Voltage Air Insulated Switchgears and its parts.
•Expertise and experience of using 7QC tools, 5 whys, 8D, FMEA, etc.
•Knowledge of Product Quality and Process improvements tools like Lean, Six Sigma, SPA, SPC, etc. 
•Must exhibit a high level of motivation, sense of urgency, and energetic approach to job duties and requirements along with team working skills.  
•Must have excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills to communicate technical information within Siemen and suppliers.  
•Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work and prioritize in a fast-paced environment is essential for success
•Proven track record of interacting professionally and positively with all levels of the organization.
•Excellent organization and time management skills with ability to manage and respond to changing priorities. 
•Competent with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), PowerBI, etc.
•This profile requires travel to various Customer and Suppliers sites.
