Software Requirements:- Familiarity with Scaled Agile Methodology.
- Proficiency in various testing types: smoke, system, integration, regression (manual and automated), data/test-driven, and end-to-end testing.
Overall Responsibilities:- Lead QA efforts for Calypso initiatives and implement scaled Agile best practices.
- Perform requirement analysis and develop testing approaches for the Calypso platform.
- Create comprehensive test plans and direct QA team activities in test case authoring and execution.
- Drive test automation processes, significantly reducing manual testing.
- Oversee test case peer reviews and maintenance.
- Execute developed solutions testing and deliver detailed test reports.
- Develop QA close-out deliverables such as requirement traceability matrices and test acceptance reports.
- Collaborate with Test Automation teams to optimize automated regression test suites and coordinate execution.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing and lead defect triage processes.
- Conduct meetings with various stakeholders to align on business needs.
Technical Skills:General:
- In-depth knowledge of front office/back office financial operations in Capital Markets.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Agile/SAFe).
- Competence in test automation and framework tools (e.g., UFT, Selenium, RPA).
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with ETL processes.
- Proficiency in testing and defect management tools (e.g., ALM, JIRA, Confluence).
- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Visio).
Calypso Specific:
- Proven experience in a Lead QA role specific to Calypso, particularly in upgrade projects and migrations from legacy systems.
- Profound understanding of Fixed Income, Derivatives, Money Markets, and Equity products within Calypso.
- Familiarity with Calypso features such as Pricing, Accounting, ERS, Workflows, Reporting, and the Collateral Module.
Experience:- Minimum of 8 years in software quality assurance within an agile development setting in a regulated financial services environment (banking preferred).
- At least 6 years of experience in leading QA staff.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on test planning and execution experience specific to Calypso.
Day-to-Day Activities:- Managing and prioritizing testing tasks with onsite and offshore QA team members.
- Monitoring team performance against defined metrics and reporting outcomes.
- Identifying training needs and coaching team members to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Engaging with stakeholders to communicate project progress and escalate issues as necessary.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
