We are looking for Quality Assurance Engineer with passion to improve quality for e-book customers to easily purchase e-books and kindle subscriptions. We are part of world’s largest and oldest digital book store service and our charter includes enabling Amazon customers to acquire eBook from wherever they discover. We are a Tier-1 service accessible externally through (www.amazon.* domain) enabling clients to acquire eBook through different actions like Buy, Borrow, Gift, PerOrder etc. and build different UX like traditional 302 URL direction, in-line acquisition experience, localized messaging etc., We build innovative experiences that reduces transaction friction and increase extensible solution for digital purchase experience that can be leveraged across multiple digital businesses. We serve 30+ digital businesses currently.
Kindle Unlimited (KU) is Amazon’s digital reading subscription which offers members all over the world access to millions of titles across ebooks, audiobooks, comics, magazines, and more. The KU engineering team owns the technology that powers the end-to-end eBook subscription — from acquisition innovation to borrowing experiences to services that power engagement experiences across Kindle and Amazon surfaces. As an engineering team we thrive on innovation that delights our customers and keeps them coming back.
As a QA Engineer-I on the KU-PRR team, you will collaborate with developers, product managers and customer support to identify unambiguous software requirements, understand all features and their implementation details, understand customer usage models and then develop and execute strategies to get that software into our customers' hands in an efficient and high quality fashion.
Our preferred candidate possesses a high level of coding aptitude combined with a demonstrated passion for Quality Assurance. Our QAEs test code at the user level, both manually and with automated tools. Our QAEs are not pure black box testers; they are able to understand the software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests using a variety of frameworks. As a QAE on the BPX team you will be a key voice in the design and coding phases. You'll define and implement quality gates for code changes, delivering on the promise that our users' experience will be continually maintained or improved. You will develop high-quality test automation to driver lower operational costs and faster deployments.

- 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI)
- Experience in API & Mobile testing
- Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
