Job Description

Beauty Production Quality Department is working with all brands within H&M Group who develop and produce private label cosmetics. H&M Group does not own any factories or production plants; instead, H&M Group works with several independent cosmetic contract manufacturers located mainly in EU and Asia. We are now looking for an experienced Chemist to join our team. Role is located in Dehli, India and will oversee and support the India beauty production.


This role will report to the Global Product Quality Manager for Beauty Production.


You will be responsible for driving implementation of H&M Beauty’s quality requirements, methods and routines to secure a strong and consistent understanding within suppliers and production units.


You will support manufacturers and H&M internal teams during product development and production. You will secure product quality and compliance to make sure products comply with H&M Group requirements.


You set actions in order to solve current and future quality problems/stopped orders/customer claims.


You will be working close together with our in-house chemist team, Quality Managers, Merchandisers, and our contract manufacturers.


Main responsibilities in the role


  • Secure regional manufacturer base (have a well-functioning quality management system and comply with GMP requirements)
  • Secure that regional manufacturer’s are updated on H&M Group’s requirements and routines
  • Work closely with team to secure products from regulatory and quality point of view
  • Work proactively to prevent quality issues during development and mass production
  • Support during production/order release
  • Understand H&M chemical requirements and ensure that all requirements are followed
  • Secure that documentation is submitted to H&M from manufacturer’s in time
  • Educate, evaluate and support suppliers on how to comply with H&M Group’s requirements
  • Support at authority audits, customer questions etc.
  • Perform risk assessment
  • Review and approve documents such as IN standard test reports, ingredient lists, product information files, etc.

Qualifications
  • Hold a degree in Chemistry
  • 5 years of working experience from Cosmetic industry; within product development, quality assurance, quality control, or regulatory affairs
  • Good knowledge in India cosmetics regulation
  • Experience from Good Manufacturing Practice
  • Organized person that can manage documentation, materials and complex information
  • Hold analytical skills
  • Have strong cooperation & communication skills
