The Forge Engineering team is seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to develop, enhance and maintain Quality Assurance automation for enterprise-wide engineering services and tools to provide a range of CI/CD pipelines for product development teams at Autodesk. Our mission is to build ‘deployment as a service’ by developing best-in-class engineering services and tools that dramatically improve the velocity of product development teams at Autodesk in their ability to develop, deploy and release desktop/web/mobile applications & services while ensuring security and compliance.

Responsibilities
Work closely with our engineering teams to understand business requirements and develop platforms to support them
Promote teamwork, collaboration, and knowledge sharing
Ensure operational aspects are considered in the day-to-day engineering work
Provide manual testing based on user stories and maintain Quality Assurance and testing documentation
Improve and maintain the availability, resiliency, and scalability of components within our services architecture by creating robust documentation
Implement an automation testing solution (Behavioural and/or Acceptance) following Autodesk standards
Minimum Qualifications
Exceptional team player
Quality Assurance testing of back-end services or similar experience
Proficiency with interpreted/scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, NodeJS, or similar (3 years)
Experience working with REST APIs
Strong understanding of Quality Assurance disciplines, designing tests based on user stories, and testing methodologies
Experience testing back-end services developed in a framework
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with AWS APIs
Experience in Frontend Quality Assurance or development (Proficiency in React, Angular, Vue is a major plus!)
Familiarity with behavior/integration frameworks such as Behave, Robot Framework, Cypress, or similar
Experience with a backend web framework (e.g., Django, Rails, Express+ORM, NestJS, etc.)
Experience in Linux systems administration, scripting, and troubleshooting.
Solid understanding of networking and security concepts
Experience working with AWS (Amazon Web Services) or other equivalent public clouds
Experience with Docker environments
Familiarity with configuration management tools and cloud automation (e.g., Chef, Terraform, Ansible, SaltStack)
Experience defining and building CI/CD processes and working with common CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity)
Strong self-management skills with the ability to track and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
Analytical advisor role that requires understanding of the theories and concepts of a discipline and the ability to apply best practices
A common career stabilization point (AKA the “full-contributor” level) for Professional roles
Require knowledge and experience such that the incumbent can understand the full range of relevant principles, practices, and practical applications within their discipline
Solve complex problems of diverse scope by taking a new perspective on existing solutions and applying knowledge of best practices in practical situations
Use data analysis, judgment, and interpretation to select the right course of action
Apply creativity in recommending variations in approach
Connect the dots of assignments to the bigger picture
May lead projects or key elements within a broader project
May also have accountability for leading and improving on-going processes
Build effective relationships with more senior practitioners and peers, and build a network of external peers
Work independently, with close guidance given at critical points
May begin to act as a mentor or resource for colleagues with less experience
