 Position Title: QC  Program Manager


 Department: QUALITY CONTROL


Job Summary


Management of potfolio of QC projects- on both HD and  mobile platforms, and teams assigned to the role. Resource planning, control, supervision, assessment of approved and used methods and procedures at the department level, communication with production teams, synthesis of necessary information for the QC Studio Director, administration of the financial part related to the activity of the project portfolio.

Main Responsibilities


  • The main role of QC Program Manager is to idetify, define and successfully implement the strategy to improve quality, testing, tools and processes and be given the freedom and responsibility to drive those changes.
  • Being able to adapt to any changes that might happen in the business environment and within the department & group.
  • The QC Program Manager supports and leads a variety of strategic efforts, playing a pivotal role in building annual/long-term strategic plans, in order to support growth objectives while strengthening the core business to develop and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • S/He is responsible for the quality of the product and collaboration success for each project in the portfolio assigned. Continuously offers support to the Project Managers for People and Project management.

Responsibilities regarding QC Studio Strategy


  • Creates and adapts QC strategy (efficiency, expertise, innovation, quality) to production and market reality. Monitor and follow-up strategy across all projects in the portfolio.
  • Anticipate and Adapt organization structure and QC flow to support GAAS/Live games, and other Game development trends
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to help define best strategy to achieve the QC delievarables in terms of QC planning, involvemenet, scope, missions and technical approach
  • Engage and create partnerships with people & groups inside the organization that can contribute to the QC strategy development and implementation.
  • Identify and implement KPI’s that can correctly measure the quality of our work.
  • Anticipate skill gaps and organizational needs for projects and teams and together with the HR team and act upon it.
  •  Be the change leader for the team assigned

Responsibilities regarding People Management


  •  Acts as a leader for QC Project Managers and team managers. Coach, mentor, develop and provide career development planning, opportunities and also offering a strong foundation for performance management.
  • Provide guidance and support to Project Managers in identifying, developing and retaining key people.
  • Together with HR define and follow a strategy to create context for culture and the desired core skills.

Responsibilities regarding Project Management


  • Gathers best practices and organizes them in the hub. Define Project Management standards and apply them on all project. Review and follow-up on project management processes
  • Together with the QC Director conduct periodic reviews on the project to assess the current status.
  • Guide and support QC PMs during the various stages of Project implementation with validation of crucial deliverables (Test plan, Test strategy, automation roadmap, etc.)
  • Monitor and review critical project KPIs with Studio and Project management to understand project’s performance level and take necessary actions

Responsibilities regarding communication with stakeholders


  • Create communication plan on QC strategy and define communication standards across all projects. Clearly communicate the QC strategy to all parties (local QC, Prod, HQ) clarifying what, when and why needs to be changed in order to align to market and company evolution.
  • Together with PROD define and agree on the Co-dev framework that will be used inside the project by the Project Managers.
  • Support and advise the QC Project Managers on promoting the QC team’s activity and deliverables
  • Proactively hold high level regular reports, meetings, calls and sync with Management (Studio and WW QC Management) on QC Strategy implementation and projects status.

Responsibilities regarding global QC strategy


  • Work with WWQC team to identify improvement opportunities, lead the pilots and implementations of the identified strategies at local as well as global level giving visibility to relevant stakeholders on the progress and achievements
  • Support and integrate the R&D strategy across all projects. Identify, lead and support transversal activities with other Program managers and counterparts from other QC studios working along with WWQC team.
  • Facilitate/empower/enable continuous breakthroughs and constantly innovate in how we test our titles.

Qualifications

Required Qualification:


  •  Bachelors or Masters in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university; MBA or equivalent management degree a plus
  •  Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification with experience in applying Six Sigma frameworks for continuous improvement
  • 10+ years of experience in Quality Control/Engineering org, in roles requiring data analysis, program management, workflow improvement, creative problem solving and cross-functional collaboration
  • 5+ years of people and team management experience, with minimum of 2 years leadership experience
  • Experience building processes, project management, and release schedules
  • Experience with project delivery for large, cross functional projects/programs
  • Experience in communicating and working with Senior/Executive management
  • Video Game Industry knowledge a bug plus

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong operations management skills in handling resources, plans and priorities
  • Strong People management skills managing large teams, and driving cross –functional projects
