Ensure and continuously improve quality of suppliers and their deliveries. Support and drive cross-functional cooperation with Procurement, Quality Management, Manufacturing and Logistics, R&D or/and Project Management (PM). Ensure compliance of SQM with applicable regulatory and quality requirements.

  • Ensures implementation and continuously improve the supplier quality part of the Integrated Management System (IMS) for the SQM community. Guarantees consistency with overall supplier quality strategy and respective local regulations.


  • Plans, implements supply risk assessments and follows up the supplier audit program and supplier preassessments.


  • Drives continuous improvement with management and lessons learned across assigned SQM organizational units.


  • Ensures and controls implementation of prevention oriented SQM related methods and risk management in supplier related processes, projects and products (8D, RCA, APQP, FMEA).


  • Implements communication strategy and plan to ensure understanding for specific supplier quality topics of the assigned org units.


  • Collaborates with and uses the SQM-network and cross-functional resources within the organization (R&D, Procurement, QM…).


  • Coordinates the competency management and training system for quality related competencies.


Required Skills:


  • Knowledge on IMS


  • Certified APQP Wind Specialist


  • NDT level-II in UT, MPI, LPT & VT.


  • 8D Problem Solving


  • Application / Use of tools & QC, 8D, CAPA, A3, FMEA, SPC, MSA, CP, PFC.


  • Knowledge on preparing, review and approving Quality Assurance Plan (QAP)


  • IMS Internal Auditor (Optional)


  • SAP / SRP (Preferred)


  • Power BI(Preferred)


  • Basic safety awareness (Preferred)


  • Certified Welding & Painting Inspectors (Preferably CSWIP & NACE Certified)


  • The candidate shall be 15+ Years experience in the relevant field 


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • To effectively manage and monitor Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) on daily supplier quality-related activities.


  • Establish clear escalation protocols for when an SQE encounters an issue that requires higher-level intervention.


  • Ensure SQEs are up-to-date on the latest quality management tools, techniques, and standards.


  • Facilitate regular meetings between SQEs and other departments like production, engineering, and purchasing to ensure alignment and address cross-functional issues.


  • Establish, manage, and implement a quality system that incorporates all specifications and customer requirements


  • Actively Involved in discussions with customers to understand their quality requirements and establish a QAP for their projects.


  • Expertise in handling Internal and External customer query's, Complaints and provide a suitable resolution on time. 


  • Closely Interacting with functional quality head and Operating heads to understand the business requirements, KPI’s and aligning with the team to achieve the management goals.  


  • Monitor Supplier NCR's, CA, and Process improvements, Collecting data and compiling supplier scorecards (KPI’s).


  • Understand component specification and should be able to effectively communicate with Design team sustaining Engineering team in case of an issue with part Quality.


  • Lead and direct SQE on supplier qualification, non-conformance management, supplier surveillance and quality initiatives supporting RCAs (Root Cause Analysis) of field events.


  • Deploying Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Product Part Approval Processes (PPAP) for project specific.


  • Support child part team with regular quality reviews and arriving an action plan.


  • Involved in Production planning, Materials follow-up and expediting activities.


  • Identifying the bottlenecks and eliminate the same to achieve the dept targets.


  • Supplier quality development and Qualifications as per the organization’s requirements.


  • NCC Cost Management.  Develop supplier scorecards that include NCC metrics such as defect rates, cost of non-conformance, and response times.


  • Educate the team on safety practices and spread safety awareness to suppliers


  • Schedule  periodic process Audit schedules for suppliers and drive the SQE to complete the audit as planned effectively and closely monitor the closure of audit points.


  • Prepare a development training plan for SQE’s which is relevant  according to their skills and necessary.


  • Collaborate with global functions to understand their requirements and prepare reports accordingly.
