Job Description

Role Summary


As QA Manager, you will provide the strategic direction, best practices, and road map for achieving the desired outcomes. You would need a good understanding of the direction the field is taking within Agile teams and DevOps and applied within a business services context. Within this role, you’ll be helping to lead and develop future test strategy as part of a fast-paced change program working closely with both Senior Engineering and Senior Architects from across the business. On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with the Development teams and technical leads to help embed the new approaches and best practices within our development teams.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience


  • Very strong experience of building, implementing, and directing quality assurance principles across teams to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Extensive experience working in an agile development environment including Jira/Confluence
  • Strong testing technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, in a continuous delivery environment
  • Experience with the following test automation tools: SOAP UI, Bruno, Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium
  • Knowledge with performance testing tool: Apache JMeter
  • CI/CD tools such as Git, AWS, Jenkins, BitBucket

Key Responsibilities


  • Development and implementation of the Test strategy, methodology, discipline, and framework.
  • Focus on an automation-first approach and provide leadership and technical expertise within functional and non-functional testing
  • Responsible for defining QA strategy standards, implementation, and execution in development projects.
  • Defining KPIs and key testing dominant goals to ensure alignment with the Global strategy • Implement metrics into the teams to enable upward reporting to key stakeholders
  • Accountability for the implementation of test automation frameworks and projects
  • Work with QA Engineering and Architecture figureheads to develop and execute QA strategies to meet and exceed department and corporate quality goals.

Qualifications

Qualifications


  • Minimum 8-9 years of experience in a Quality Engineering leadership role and a proven track record of building and leading high-performing QA teams.
  • Extensive experience in working with writing acceptance criteria in BDD format and experience in the Selenium automation framework
  • Expertise in API testing - experience with tools like Postman/SoapUI and familiarity with cloud platforms is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Jenkins)
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • ISTQB or similar certification is a plus
