Job Description
Software Requirements:- Proficiency in Java programming with a strong understanding of its ecosystems and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium for automated testing.
- Experience with data validation techniques and methodologies to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data.
- Familiarity with DB2 for database management and operations.
- Experience working with Snowflake for cloud-based data warehousing solutions.
- Proficiency in Databricks for big data processing and analytics on a unified data platform.
Overall Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium to ensure software quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and gather testing needs.
- Conduct thorough data validation to ensure the accuracy and quality of data across all pipelines.
- Implement processes to monitor data quality and ensure production data is accurate and available for key stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.
- Work closely with frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and analysts to define and manage SLAs for all data sets.
- Write high-quality, efficient, and testable code for automated testing frameworks.
Technical Skills:- Strong knowledge of Java and its libraries for automation testing (Java, Selenium).
- Experience with SQL databases such as DB2, and familiarity with Snowflake and Databricks platforms.
- Understanding of data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques.
- Proficiency in version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and various data formats (JSON, XML).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Experience:- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a similar role, working with Java, Selenium, and data validation methodologies.
Education Qualifications:- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Day-to-Day Activities:- Participate in daily stand-up meetings and project planning sessions.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand business requirements and testing needs.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure software quality.
- Conduct data validation and quality assurance checks for all data pipelines.
- Perform root cause analysis for defects and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in testing tools and practices.
