Job Description
As Quality Assurance Engineer, your responsibility is to ensure products compliance with all certification and customer requirements.
Oversees the DIN processes that relate to quality, HSE Systems. - Ensure DIN works effectively to maintain and develop our customer’s quality satisfaction.
- Drives continual improvement at group level by the Plan-do-check-act approach for QHSE Systems:
PLAN …the quality policy and objectives for DIN
- Ensures the Group Quality, EHS Policies are applied, communicated and understood within DIN
- Ensures the group QHSE objectives are met
- Defines the QHSE objectives for DIN
- Identifies QHSE risks and opportunities of improvement for DIN
- Ensure with the QSM that the group processes map consider the DIN processes
DO …what was planned for DIN- Document the processes that are specific to DIN
- Support the QHSE Manager for the description of the processes common for the group
- Train the QA QC SQE teams in DIN on ITPs and other technical documents related to quality
- Trains and spreads among managers and staff at all levels within the organization the right quality minded approach to develop an effective quality culture within DIN.
- Ensure DIN quality system complies with the relevant standards (ISO9001, 14001, CARES, etc….)
CHECK …the efficiency of the DM processes
- Audits DIN processes against relevant quality standards, in coordination with the QSM
- Monitors performance (KPIs, monthly report, customer satisfaction surveys, audits, …)
- Update the plant KPIs dashboard
- Prepare the DIN yearly management review
- Facilitate second and third parties audits (ISO9001, customers, ASME, ISO19443,…)
ACT …to prevent and correct the deficiencies, and to improve the processes
Management
- Promote the company vision, mission, and values throughout DEXTRA.
- Evaluate and report the resources needed for the proper application of the Quality, HSE Policy.
- Formalize the QA Department organization through organization chart and job descriptions.
- Establish, monitor and review the performance of the QA team members and their KPIs (PMS).
- Identify the competencies development actions needed for the QA team members and take relevant actions.
Manage our Document Control Center
- Documents review, validation, registration, distribution, filing, archiving.
- Product documentation validation (data sheets, assembly instructions, Bar End Preparation Quality Manuals
- Raw material specifications maintenance, review and validation.
- Drawings management (Registration, distribution, filing, archiving).
- Standards purchase, filing, archiving.
Nuclear Safety
- Ensure that nuclear safety is taken into account in decision making and actions, and that it always takes precedence over any other consideration.
- Use a balanced, rigorous, and prudent approach to decision making with respect to quality, cost, and schedule such that nuclear safety is never compromised.
- Ensure that involved personnel understand not only their own responsibilities and the consequences of mistakes, but also those of their immediate colleagues and how these responsibilities complement each other.
- Ensure that key operational and technical positions are filled by competent and knowledgeable persons, and that they are empowered to speak openly.
- Adopt and encourage a questioning attitude, particularly when choices, or lack thereof, are presented.
- Challenge unsafe decisions, acts, behaviors, and conditions.
- Take prompt conservative and preventive actions when an incident that could affect nuclear safety is reported, even if not yet fully understood or documented.
- Communicate transparently to the Board of Directors any issue which might compromise nuclear safety, including any human, technical or organizational issue.
