Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manger to lead the central procurement and supply chain operations for our air filtration business (5 manufacturing plants) from Kolkata. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, vendor management, cost optimization, and ensuring a smooth supply of raw materials and components required for manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement of materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials, components, and other required items.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and assess supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
• Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Implement best practices in procurement, including automation and digital tools for efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and finance for seamless operations.
• Handle contract management, price negotiations, and supplier agreements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes and enhance supply chain resilience.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Business Administration. MBA or related certifications (CPSM, CIPS) preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
• Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management, and inventory control.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software. SAP B1 knowledge will a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Background:

• Experience in sourcing commodity items, like, sheet metal, extrusion, etc. Knowledge of sourcing filters/ HVAC components, and related mechanical parts will be a plus.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and cost-saving procurement strategies.
• Prior experience working in the air filtration, HVAC, or related industries.
