Power Systems DCX Scrum Master


ORGANISATION OVERVIEW


Power Systems DCX team drives the adoption of digital tools to enhance the customer’s ‘Select -to-Buy’ journey.


We offer an E2E seamless digital experience to our customers in the form of cloud hosted web applications for configuration of Medium Voltage products (switchboard, equipment, component like circuit breakers, relays etc.), obtaining budgetary and ordering quotations and placing an order online with the capability to track and trace the order until delivery.


This journey is enabled by skillful integration of various global and bespoke applications which come together to offer a seamless digital customer experience.


Primary focus is on deploying new offers/ products on the tools while also upgrading existing offers to sync with latest version/s of the offer in the market.


The team also delivers new features and enhancements as per customer requirements while constantly optimizing the architecture and performance of the applications.


ROLE OVERVIEW


The scrum master serves to facilitate scrum to the larger team by ensuring the scrum framework is followed. He or she is committed to the scrum methodology, agile principles, and best practices—but should also remain flexible and open to opportunities for the team to improve their workflow.


The selected individual is expected to but not limited to have,


·Excellent written and spoken communication in English.


·Spoken French is an added advantage


·Self-driven and motivated to push boundaries and delivery results


·Be a team player and collaborate with teams within and outside your Line of Business


·Challenge status quo if necessary and follow through with ‘out of the box’ ideas to overcome hurdles


·Organized and structured in deliverables and communication with all stakeholders


QUALIFICATION


·Any Bachelors or Masters degree is compulsory.


·Agile Scrum Master certification is preferred (PSM I)


·Overall 12+ years of experience and minimum 4 years of relevant experience is required

REQUIRED SKILLS


Required Skills/Experience


  • First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I)
  • Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least 4 years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Knowledge of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Demonstrate good understanding of IT architecture and usage of web applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large transformation projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with written and oral communication skills with global exposure.

 Functional competencies


  • 4+ years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Good understanding of B2B and B2C business models is an added benefit.
  • Experience on e-commerce platform deployment projects is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing budgets, good financial acumen.

  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients and other departments.

Essential Duties


  • Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
  • Guiding the team on how to get the most out of self-organization to fully realize the potential of Agile/Scrum frameworks.
  • Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example
