Job Description

Role description:
This role is for Process engineer role during execution stage for simple or large /complex
Water and Waste water treatment projects.This role does not have team members
reporting directly but may need to have good influencing skills team working and
communication skills to coordinate with various functions and ensure timely submission of
quality process engineering deliverables in water treatment like PFD, P&ID, process
design description/summary document etc.


Responsibilities:
1. Ensure correctness of P&ID and incorporate as sold requirements to customer on
the P&ID w.r.t to proposal engineering.
2. Ensure correctness per project specification including tagging requirements.
3. Ensure correctness, verify and cross check process projection calculations.Ex
membrane tank sizing, blower capacity and sizing, air for mixing requirements
4. Able to cross check process sizing at an equipment level.
5. Able to review & implement tagging philosophy per customer requirement or
international practices like KKS tagging
6. Provide solutions for process optimization on hydraulic flow, pressurized flow,
heat & mass balancing, control logic.
7. Inside out knowledge and understanding of key Veolia products & technologies
and application engineering on process solutions
8. Able to develop hydraulic flow diagram and perform sanity check independently
9. Understand application engineering of Suez products & technologies on upstream
and downstream processes.
10. Optimize and ensure correctness of process sizing at unit level (including
equipment level).
11. Offer cost effective process solutions independently or in collaboration of process
experts.
12. Negotiate with customer or customer consultant on process optimization.
13. Sign off on process design review punch points as applicable.
14. Ability to participate and contribute on HAZOP reviews with customer or customer
consultants and clearly resolve queries at a nodal level.
15. Review & provide holistic comments on control philosophy document.


Interpret and analyse customer or consultant specification very clearly
● Initiates technical queries, deviation lists and discuss with customer or consultant
– resolve.
● Translates & interprets effectively proposal, FEED documents into execution.
● Develop independently level 2 & level 3 schedules for process engineering
deliverables
● Use of process projection tools & software to arrive at critical system sizing at unit
& equipment level
● Liaise with global experts to optimize process technology, & implement alternate
technology use.
● Develop heat & mass balance, process & instrument diagrams independently.
● Responsible for other critical deliverables like utility, chemical consumption list,
line list and valve list.
● Manages a team of drafting engineers to implement mark ups on process
documents from global teams, regional offices or end customer.
● Manages & controls KPIs – on time delivery & quality.
● Participates in meetings, global forums and demonstrates “value add” on a
continuous basis. Collaborate with global experts to arrive at optimum solutions
● Collaborate & negotiate with vendors for optimum process solutions.



Good To Have Requirements:



1. Experience working in a global delivery center or international locations
2. Experience with international codes and standards
3. Exposure and implementation to oil & gas specification is preferred
4.KKS tagging procedures
5.ISA rules & implementation
6.Field experience, commissioning and trouble shooting
7. Ability to represent project from a process engineering know how with the customer
or customer consultant
8. Liase with sales teams and derive simple flow schemes using Veolia products &
technologies.


Minimum 8-10 years’ Experience in Water or Waste Water treatment related Industry.



Qualifications

Engineering Degree – Mechanical / Experience in Chemical /Mechanical/Environmental
Engineering
