Project Procurement Manager
Siemens Real Estate (SRE) is seeking a Project Procurement Manager to be responsible for construction projects, renovation and expansion projects with a focus on international projects and construction projects in India with work experience in APJ/MEA.
This role will be based out of Airoli, Navi Mumbai.
Responsibilities:
- Meaningful and multifaceted tasks await you in strategic purchasing for local construction projects. You will work with different departments from construction to operation of the construction project.
- Define procurement strategies in construction projects and ensure their implementation.
- Draw up construction contracts including claim management and ensure EHS-compliant supplier selection.
- Conduct the target cost analysis, cost & value engineering, evaluation of alternatives. Support the estimate life cycle costs, recycling potential, cost impact of quality and design alternatives, etc.
- Benchmarking activities by conducting market analysis and collecting information on best practices in terms of methods, processes and systems.
- Supply market monitoring for opportunities and risks. Define and implement mitigation measures together with the project team.
- Build and maintain partnerships with qualified contractors and suppliers to optimize the balance between quality and cost and increase procurement efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a comparable degree
- +5 years of professional experience in construction industry, preferably in position of project procurement and/or project commercial. Technical background preferred.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in several of the following areas: project management, quantity survey, project finance and commercial, project engineering etc.
- Experienced in management of projects with strong ability in communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Innovation and digitalization driver. Know sector-specific software (e.g. online tendering) well.
- Strong negotiating skills, a high level of strategic and conceptual thinking, team skills and acting as well as an analytical and independent way of working.
- Proficient language skill in English and any other international language are very welcome.
- Knowledge of project vendor base and market in India and APJ/MEA.
