Job Description
A Project Manager (PM) will responsible for the planning, co-ordination, execution, and monitoring of projects.
Their duties include:
- Creating and delivering project work plans.
- Timely completion within budget and with high standards.
- Follow the Volvo PSM (project steering model) and follow & work according to the process/steps defined in the process document.
- PM to initiate the planning process, clearly defining the project’s scope, goals, and objectives
- PMs identify potential risks early, analyze their possible impact, and develop mitigation strategies. This proactive approach minimizes disruptions to the project’s schedule, quality, and budget.
- Collaborating with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Raising purchase request in co-ordination with purchase team. Create GRN as per the process & terms and conditions.
- Processing the invoices by securing necessary approvals.
- Co-ordinating with all contractors ensuring SQDCEP is followed.
- Ensuring all necessary client approvals and architect confirmations on samples are done ontime for on time delivery of project.
- Send Daily & weekly reports.
- Weekly risk management tracker to be circulated to client.
- Meetings with PMO, Architect and contractors are held with MOM.
- Ensuring all projects are managed with the budget and avoid as much as NT.
- Measurements to be done along with contractor for reconciliations.
- Snag list to be followed and completed.
- Should be well versed with MSP.
- Overall project Planning, Monitoring & Control
- Ensure quality and safety guidelines are met at site as per ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, 37001 standards.
- Quality Management – Quality audits | QA & QC
- Risk & Compliance management - Risk Identification | Risk Mitigation & Closure | Assess Impact on Project Cost & Timeline | Change Management & Approvals
- De-snagging, Financial closure and Handover - Snagging & Validation walkthrough – Witness and report. Client walk thru and workshop for project execution Vs intent validation. Financial Closure – Joint Measurements, Certifications & Closure
- Reporting -Audit compliant documentation – MIS reporting, Daily, Weekly, Monthly reports, Delay tracker, Risk tracker, Project closure report Open issue log
- Audit requirements are followed at each steps.
- Experience in Industrial project execution.
Skill sets :
- Creating schedules in MS projects
- Knowledge in Auto-cad and creating drawings for smaller requirements.
- Stakeholder management.
- Knowledge and drawing understandings on Civil & PEB, Structural drawings, Civil finishes, Mechanical & Electrical,
- Experience in handling bigger industrial projects.
- Experience working in Automobile industry, paint shop setups, masterplan development, etc.,
Qualifications
Educational Qualification
- B.E. in Civil Engineer with 10+ years of experience in Industrial project management.
- Experience – 10+ yrs
- Certification or courses in Project management
- PMP certification will be an added advantage.
- Working experience Automobile industry with international tenants or colleagues.
