The Role


As a Project Manager with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….


Responsible for coordination of project plans, contractual arrangements, schedules, activities, and milestones in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by Worley. Reviews bill of materials/project schedules/forecasts for accuracy. Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders. Often functions as assistant project manager. This role would apply to those without an engineering background.


  • Ensures Worley methodologies, processes, tools and systems are used throughout the project and compliance requirements are met/satisfied.
  • Applies knowledge of all aspects of a project (engineering, procurement, quality control, etc.) to oversee the successful execution of the project plan.
  • Ensures design team is aware and complying with customer Basis of Design and applicable codes and regulations.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated understanding of EPC project delivery workflow and coordination.
  • Basic exposure and understanding of procurement/subcontracting and on-site construction support.
  • Translates contract requirements for project scope into Worley scope of services and deliverables.
  • Ensures project schedules and resource plans are developed and utilized in managing the project tasks.
  • Manages execution, coordination, and implements regular reviews/controls to track project progress.
  • Develops action plans to address project tasks and issues.
  • Good understanding of Project Control Reports and identified problem areas. 
  • Experienced in successful multi-office workshare execution.
  • Promotes Value Creation and Sustainable Solutions objectives for project.
  • Effectively communicates and take a leadership role in preparing and presenting proposals and reports to staff and management.
  • Clearly communicates project requirements, deliverables and expectations with the project team.
  • As  technical customer interface, pro-actively addresses technical coordination issues.
  • Creates an environment for open communication and collaboration.
  • Keeps all stakeholders informed of project status.
  • Resolves issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identifies and understands the customer’s key drivers (KPIs).
  • Manages customer representatives (established relationship) and other significant stakeholders.
  • Manages and nurtures customer and stakeholder relationship based on established expectations and communication protocols.
  • Nurtures relationships with external vendors and suppliers, communicating key project drivers.
  • Develops a relationship of trust and respect with ability to discuss project progress, challenges and issues in a transparent manner.
  • Identifies potential risks or new risks as the project progresses and effectively develops risk mitigation, contingency and resolution plans.
  • Follows Worley risk management procedures.
  • Keeps detailed project risk register that stays current and is tracked & communicated on a regular basis (at least monthly).
  • Utilizes Risk Register items as the basis for any project contingency budget.

About You


To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:


  • Typically 17+ years experience including 10 years of relevant supervisory, project management and/or technical experience. Workshare experience and  EPC project experience (FPSO/Offshore/LNG).
  • EPCM, EPC including site assignments; Multi-Cultural / Multi-National environments.
  • University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
