Job Description
Job Purpose:
- Lead & drives functional excellence in engineering solution and provide knowledge base, services and technical understanding for the "Consumer Goods Industries" applications observing the industry standards and its regulatory requirements.
- Manage all aspect of project life cycle from pre-sale proposal support, Engineering and site support as per the scope.
- He/ She will be reporting to the Engineering Manager.
- Will work independent and handle technical tasks and activity on HW/SW/HMI and any 3rd party interfaces as applicable in the projects.
- This may include travel for short or long term work assignments within India or overseas for customer meetings, project training and site support.
- Organize and schedule job tasks with her/his team.
- Provide leadership to the assigned team & Increase Productivity.
- Manage team regarding people development and issue resolution
- Manage Global stakeholder including the regional solution teams and Global Program Managers
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver & implement the assigned projects on time with good quality/ cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction
- Take on challenging tasks and be a solution provider to internal & external stakeholders & industry team on solutions
- Keep improving self-engineering capabilities and exchange best practice with other team members to improve team's capabilities
- Lead technical implementation in whole life-cycle of project delivery
- Collaborate & work with Technical Lead / SMEs to clarify technical issues and share workloads
- Present solution to the stakeholders and coordinate development tasks with team members
- Drive project cost reduction through process improvement, by applying and maximizing reusable engineering standards in project delivery
- Engage with various stakeholders to identify opportunities for increased engagement, seek feedback on deliverables and to improve overall engagement
- Ensures deliverables provided by the GEC are delivered within good quality on time and on budget with high levels of Internal Customer Satisfaction.
- Manage use of all resources and ensure accurate capacity planning.
- Manage resources and to assign right skills to the work.
Job Related Competencies:
- Have exposure on applications in Life Science / Consumer Goods / Process Applications.
- High level of expertise in RA products such as Control Logix, FTView SE/ ME, ACM or GCM tool, GEMS or Process Objects , SSB Solutions
- Experience with advanced solutions like FT Batch, Line performance, LBSM, Sequence Manager.
- Good experience on PlantPAx systems and functionalities including PlantPAx 5.0. Awareness of NextGen libraries would be an added advantage
- Experience with Server Client architecture, Thin client and RDP
- Experience with at least one third party DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA systems each
- Knowledge of IT software platforms, prior hands on experience with migrations, awareness of latest updates on upcoming automation technologies (Cloud solutions, IIoT etc.) would be an added advantage either
