Role description:


Managing multiple Project Assistant roles to meet quality, scope, schedule, and budgetary requirements according to the Project Management / Execution Plan. For smaller projects, could be assigned as the project manager in Oracle.


Role accountabilities:


  • Oversee technical resources to meet requirements on small, medium, and straightforward large projects You are pastorally responsible for your team and their outputs, including management of pipeline and workload. 
  • Own and accountable for you and your immediate team project deliverables Accountable for H&S in your team Ensure your team members have required knowledge and understanding of the principles associated with your own area of discipline You guide your team in their professional development and are responsible for their pastoral care Manage requirements within budget, monitor and review project costs and variances 
  • Use your own knowledge and experience to review and analyze existing processes and policies and share knowledge Capable of leading and delivering independently, and act as the main point of contact for the internal client (supporting country points of contact) and ensuring quality and best practice is applied.
  •  Proactively promote the use of SOPs and are expected at all levels to follow best practice, use, and capture appropriate data, share lessons learned and optimize delivery through standardization and application of the most suitable digital solutions.
  •  Overseeing the development of process improvement and best practice in your discipline.
  •  Monitor the performance of team members and subcontractors, identifying and then ensuring resolution of any issues, escalating where necessary. Requires a proven ability to apply professional concepts in a productive, consistent manner.
  •  Maintains records according to generally accepted accounting practices. Proactively participating in learning new tools and services with the mindset to provide more effective services to the Project Managers.

Capability Key Competency:


  •  Prepare and develop any specific reporting, Power BI & Project Health reports for Project Manager. 
  • Create strong relationships with project colleagues in the other BAs and liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective communication on project matters and resolve complex technical issues. Providing problem solving support for PMO team by adding in the insights and experience to arrive at efficient management tools.

Dimension of the Job:


  • Being able to take charge and implement a better way of working with project managers Excellent time management and delegation skills, providing added value through your delivery Capable of setting budgets for a specific scope of work Proficiency in relevant software and systems, and display an enthusiasm and demonstratable ability to learn new tools If required for delivery, you should be working towards or have achieved practitioner level accreditation such as APM/MSP Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to build relationships in the GEC and with contacts in countries we work with Excellent technical knowledge and practical experience with little support needed Understanding of the wider organization in your area of expertise Expert knowledge of Arcadis Way Project Management requirements, including any client, account, or team specific requirements Able to interpret and communicate project policies. This includes processes and systems, monitoring, and escalation of project level KPIs, performance metrics as well as process compliance and escalation of issues Proficiency in relevant software and systems and display an enthusiasm and demonstratable ability to learn new tools Good knowledge of task management requirements Good people management skills.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • 8-15 years related experience in in Project accounting, Commercial Management, Project Management & Project co-ordination.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is mandatory including the ability to liaise with peers and seniors and build relationships in the GEC and the countries we work with Experience operating in a global offshoring model. 
  • PMP/ APM / PRINCE2 certifications or working towards is a requirement.
