The Role: Senior Developer/Programmer Analyst


The Team: Price Assessment workflow is part of the Content Operations Group, which is a shared service across the S&P Global Platts Content creation group. The PAW  teams in Singapore, London, India, Mexico and Houston. All 4 teams work together, and the management team is supportive of collaboration and encourages ideas along with supporting individual ambitions. Platts provides an excellent ground for learning about commodities, operations, compliance, technology, and other areas.


The Impact: S&P Global Platts publish over 20,000 price assessments every day. Generating accurate and timely information is crucial as our customers rely on this information to help them make decisions every day. An eye for detail, problem solving, decision-making, building repeatable processes and excellent communication is vital for this role.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop & manage editorial data workflow solutions and business rules in MS Excel, Internal platforms and using proprietor scripting language along with Python


  • Coordinate with development teams to define application requirements and deliver scalable Python code to support internal migrations on need basis


  • Deal with workflow & business rules related queries and troubleshoot on real time system.


  • Test, debug applications, and improve existing databases for enhanced functionality.


  • Identify, plan, and implement key initiatives to improve processes, Quality and Productivity to improve customer satisfaction.


  • Take a lead in developing the team.


  • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.


  • Provide onsite support and remote support for the company’s business continuity plan at the disaster recovery site. Cover for any bank holidays and other scenarios and to do whatever takes to get our contents out to customers on time.


What We’re Looking For:


  • 3-5 years of proven experience with proficiency in MS Excel and in scripting language like Python


  • knowledge of Python development stacks, ecosystems frameworks, and tools


  • Demonstrated experience in working with users to test, debug, and document systems


  • Experience working in an Agile environment


  • Complex problem-solving aptitude


  • Ability to use organizational/time management skills to prioritize workload


  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, capable of making quick decisions under pressure.


  • Excellent prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining quality


  • Good interpersonal skills, negotiation and excellent verbal and written skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders in different time zones.


  • Experience with AWS Cloud services is preferred


  • Solid hands on with source control tools such as GitHub or Azure DevOps


Shift Timings:- 2PM-11PM IST, flexibility required
