Job Description
SAP FI/CO IT Analyst is responsible for creating the processes for SAP General Accounting and establishing them across the business unit. Provides leadership in establishing and implementing a common process for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Billing and Departmental Budgeting within an SAP environment that provides all levels of management with the information necessary to run their business.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Member of the Global Competence Teams / Service Operations, support BorgWarner Plants (ETTS)
- Provide leadership in establishing and implementing a common process for the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Billing and Departmental Budgeting within an SAP environment.
- Handle business process analysis and design.
- Provide 2nd level support within area of responsibility for global, regional/local IT teams
- Participation in creation of global BorgWarner standards, improvement of best practice approach
- Work together the local finance key user organization to identify business requirements, document them and translate them to SAP functional solutions
- Identify alternatives for process improvements / enhancements
- Be in charge of Customizing and documentation for business process
- Ensure application and data consistency of standard application platforms through change- and release management incl. relevant documentation
- Participation in or drive global / local projects
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including report outs to management on project status.
- Preparing training Documentation material and conduct training to key and end users
- Take responsibility for the overall success of assigned projects and tickets.
- Delivery of application implementation initiatives, on time and within budget.
- Invest time in fully understanding business processes and departmental/organizational goals.
- Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders including third parties/vendors.
- Update and maintain user guides, manuals and other related materials, and share knowledge amongst the IT team on implemented solutions.
- Exercise high level of System expertise in ERP area and the person should be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- The person should have a good communication skill to interact with all level of internal customers.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business informatics, computer science or a related field with a strong ERP background
- Deep knowledge and demonstrated ability in the design, configuration, and testing in the area of SAP ERP FI, CO, CO-PA, ML, FA.
- 10+ years of experience in the described area of responsibilities, preferably in automotive industry
- Knowledge of SAP Configuration/customizing in the area of responsibility. Additional knowledge in other SAP modules (MM, PP, SD) would be beneficial.
- ABAP Troubleshooting experiences would be a plus.
- Experience to work in a SAP support role and communicate well with global/local IT teams, internal customers and suppliers
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, work under tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities
- Results oriented with strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability and desire to solve complex problems
- Fluent English speaking
- Willing to reflect support for different time zones partly to own working hours.
- Consider and seek out the impact of his/her actions within the team. Actively seek collaboration with internal and external team members
- Knowledge and experience with IT controls and governance.
- Proven track record of meeting commitments, with the highest standards of ethics and integrity
