In this role, you will:


Be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring company-wide environmental lifecycle assessment capabilities, processes and tools. This role involves analyzing the environmental impacts of K-C’s products from end-to-end, supporting product and materials innovation to identify areas for improvement, recommending changes to procedures, and ensuring the integration of sustainable practices into our business strategy.


  • Drives innovation, value creation and competitive advantage through product/packaging sustainability practices by implementing systems, tools and best practices, and building the sustainability mindset and capabilities of product development, marketing and packaging teams.


  • Completes environmental lifecycle assessments in support of product development and category teams, making recommendations and driving environmental footprint improvements.


  • Partners across the Sustainability and Digital teams to build future-facing LCA processes, platforms and capabilities, with a vision and strategy that enables sharing of environmental impact data with customers.


  • Identifies opportunities to manage/reduce environmental impacts via product/packaging innovation and new technology development, and shares best practices globally.


  • Tracks and reports on key sustainable product/packaging KPIs/metrics.


  • Integrates LCA and product scorecarding into K-C’s innovation processes..


  • Supports capability building throughout the global organization relative to application of lifecycle assessment tools and thinking.


  • Benchmarks externally and stays current with latest trends and  standards related to LCA

In one of our Environmental Specialist LCA roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, or a related field.


  • At least 5 years of experience working in environmental LCA in a consulting capacity or a complex, global CPG company.


  • Strong digital, analytical and problem-solving skills.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.


  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability standards.


  • Exceptional ability to extract, distill, communicate, and teach complex processes and requirements to all levels of the organization


  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills to motivate, coach, lead, and influence multinational working teams at various levels of the organization without authority


  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing needs across the organization. 


  • Experience in building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders


  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to support Segment needs.
