This role involves driving critical decisions with cross functional teams and middle management leadership; and demands strong program management skills along-with an ability to drive data driven discussions. The candidate is expected to have exceptional analytical, planning and written/verbal communication skills along with preferred experience in Sales & Operations Planning and network configurations.
The incumbent will own the following -
1) Responsible for working with Operations, Finance, External fulfillment and other Amazon teams to identify and systematically solve pain points
2) Responsible for driving cost benefit analysis and go/no-go decisions on various initiatives
3) Once a go decision is made, the program manager will work to evolve a plan and timeline for execution.
4) The program manager will develop a roadmap and metrics to measure progress of the initiative they own. They will also own writing reports that detail the progress to leadership on a frequent basis
5) Liaise across functions to drive their project and help clear issues and bottlenecks.
6) Work with technology teams to scope out and drive any tech changes that are needed
- 2+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
- (a) Sound understanding of fulfillment operations across First Mile or Last Mile.
- (b) Hands-on experience in data-based root cause analysis to complex problems. Ability to independently present this to leadership.
- (c) Ability to create SOPs and put in mechanisms for recurring opportunities/challenges.
- (d) Ability to elevate conversations and open decisions to the right leaders to seek support and make progress collectively with stakeholders.
