Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Finance Operations (FinOps) is looking for is looking for experienced, self-starter Program Manager III to spearhead Accounts payable for Kuiper business which involves streamlining the operations, strategical action plans to ensure seamless processing of payments. This is an exciting opportunity to own the definition and execution of the Amazon Kuiper payment strategy, both for corporate expenses and regulatory licensing fee payments.
Key job responsibilities
As a Level 6 Program Manager III, this strategic position requires managing complex cross-functional programs with considerable organizational impact while driving global improvements and initiatives.
The role demands operating with autonomy and showing high judgment in decisions that have technical and business implications. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of complex cross-functional initiatives, defining program requirements, analyzing data, driving improvements quantified with metrics, and influencing resource allocation.
The position requires excellent communication skills, including writing effective narratives and presenting them to Directors and VPs, while routinely delivering results with limited guidance. The role involves partnering with stakeholders to determine project priorities, using technical judgment to question proposals, and making smart trade-offs between time, effort, and features.
A day in the life
- Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks
- Drive data-driven decisions by regularly reviewing metrics and seeking improved mechanisms for visibility
- Streamline processes and influence teams to eliminate architecture problems that stifle innovation
- Build consensus and find the best way forward when confronted with discordant views
- Work independently while delivering solutions that meet high standards for customer satisfaction, efficiency, stability, and operational excellence
- 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
