The job description of a Sr. Production Planner includes operational planning within an organization to ensure Scheduling shop floor, loading the lines while meeting inventory targets & utilizing the available resources & improve productivity

The candidate must have
· Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engineering principles and concepts relevant to the industrial practice (eg.. know-how of manufacturing steps like FG & SFG concepts) This includes familiarity with project management methodologies and scheduling techniques. He / She should have hands on expertise in using ERP’s in PP module in depth & in depth knowledge on TPS or Lean concepts
· Project Planning and Scheduling: Proficiency in creating and maintaining project schedules using tools such as, Excell, Microsoft Project, or similar software. Ability to develop detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) and implement critical path analysis when required.
· Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess business requirements, analyze data, and identify potential risks or constraints.
· Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with all stakeholders, including sales, Product development (PD) , Production, SCM, and management.
· Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in project schedules and resource planning. This helps in maintaining project timelines and budget adherence.
· Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals. This includes coordinating with various departments to integrate schedules and ensure alignment of project activities.
· Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and project milestones. This involves managing multiple projects concurrently while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
· Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt plans and schedules in response to changes in project scope, timeline adjustments, or unexpected challenges. This includes managing project constraints and optimizing resource utilization.
· Risk Management: Understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies to anticipate potential project delays or obstacles. Ability to implement contingency plans and monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle.
· Continuous Improvement: Commitment to ongoing learning and development in planning practices, scheduling techniques, and industry trends. This includes staying updated with advancements in Planning, Scheduling management and methodologies along with OEE improvement.
