Job Description

  1. Production Planning and Management:
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet business demands and deadlines.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and resources.
Team Supervision and Leadership:
  • Supervise and lead production teams, including operators, technicians, and line supervisors.

Quality Assurance and Control:
  • Ensure that food products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to implement and maintain quality control systems.
  • Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO, FSSAI).
  • Implement and enforce workplace safety regulations to minimize risks and accidents.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental and governmental regulations.
Process Optimization:
  • Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Monitor production efficiency, waste, and resource utilization, and strive for cost reduction.
  • Introduce automation and new technologies to improve productivity.
Inventory and Resource Management:
  • Oversee the inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Ensure minimal waste and efficient use of materials.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment availability and functionality.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze production data to monitor performance metrics (e.g., yield, downtime, and output).
  • Prepare and present production reports to senior management.
  • Use data insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, R&D, and sales, to align production with business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding production updates, challenges, and solutions.
