About the job Production Manager

Our client is a headquartered in Navi Mumbai, India, is a premier manufacturer of high-quality Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) solutions tailored for the hospitality industry.


Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee the production operations of our furniture company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality manufacturing of furniture products, maintaining strict adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Production Planning and Scheduling:


o Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet business objectives.


o Coordinate with the sales and design teams to align production goals with customer requirements.


2. Team Management and Supervision:


o Lead, mentor, and manage production teams to achieve high performance and productivity.


o Ensure proper staffing, training, and delegation of responsibilities.


3. Quality Control and Assurance:


o Oversee the implementation of quality control procedures to maintain product excellence.


o Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.


4. Process Optimization and Efficiency:


o Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency.


o Analyze production workflows and eliminate bottlenecks.


5. Inventory Management:


o Monitor and manage raw materials and finished goods inventory to minimize waste and shortages.


o Ensure proper inventory tracking and maintain accurate records.


6. Cost Control and Budgeting:


o Prepare and manage production budgets to control costs effectively.


o Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality.


7. Reporting and Documentation:


o Maintain comprehensive production reports and documentation for management review.


o Provide regular updates on production status, challenges, and achievements.


8. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:


o Address and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime.


o Develop contingency plans for unexpected challenges in the production process.


Qualifications and Skills:


· Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field.


· Proven experience (15+ years) in production management, preferably in the furniture manufacturing industry.


· Strong leadership and team management skills.


· In-depth knowledge of production planning, quality control, and inventory management.


· Proficiency in using production management tools and software.


· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.


· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
