Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Chef to oversee and manage kitchen operations for our hotel in Trichy. The Production Chef will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the hotel industry and demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and culinary skills.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Food Production & Quality Control: Supervise and lead all kitchen activities, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Menu Planning & Development: Design and develop menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef, incorporating seasonal ingredients and maintaining food cost efficiency.
  • Inventory & Stock Management: Oversee inventory control and procurement of supplies, maintaining optimal stock levels while reducing waste.
  • Staff Management: Train, manage, and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that health and safety standards are strictly followed.
  • Hygiene & Safety Compliance: Ensure that the kitchen complies with all health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness, and organizing regular audits.
  • Cost Control: Monitor food cost, labor cost, and kitchen expenses, implementing strategies to reduce costs without compromising quality.
  • Recipe Standardization: Maintain consistency in food preparation by standardizing recipes and portion sizes across all kitchen staff.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure customer satisfaction, adapting dishes based on feedback.
  • Kitchen Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all kitchen equipment is regularly maintained and functioning properly.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Production Chef or similar role in the hotel industry.
  • Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations and hotel-specific food service requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to manage kitchen staff, schedules, and workloads effectively.
Skills Required:
  • Exceptional culinary skills, including knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Strong leadership and management skills to supervise a diverse team.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with other departments.
