About the department


You will join our team of cloud developers, DevOps engineers, data engineers and architect in Data Management & Analytics team at Novo Nordisk.  It’s a global, high performing department with a variety of technical, analytical, and multinational backgrounds. We are expanding our offerings to the global organisation, so we need extra resources to succeed with our journey and ambitious vision.


We do data acquisition and ingestion; data analysis and data engineering; evangelising the use of data and advanced analytics; and supporting data science users of our platform. We are cloud native and we work primarily on AWS. We deliver solutions using Scrum methodology. We have built and are operating the enterprise data lake, data mesh and data science platform on AWS to support our vision, which is to be able to deliver world class management of data. The overarching goal is to use data to gain new understandings and insights, drive optimisations and create true value to Novo Nordisk and the patients we serve. The position


We are looking for a Product Owner who will be responsible for managing the development and delivery of AI ML platforms. The Product Owner will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to define product requirements, prioritize features and enhancements, and ensure that the product meets the needs of its users. Key responsibilities are:


  • Define and prioritize product backlog based on business requirements, technical feasibility, and data governance considerations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders to define product features and user stories
  • Develop and maintain product roadmap and release plan to ensure timely delivery of product increments
  • Evaluate critical prerequisites for adding new products to the landscape.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, data quality, and data security best practices throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Continuously monitor and analyze product performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization
  • Communicate product updates and progress to stakeholders, including senior management and business leaders
  • Act as a subject matter expert on data lake technologies, data management best practices, and emerging trends in the field
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on product management principles and agile development methodologies

Qualifications
We Expect you to hold the below skills and knowledge


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data management, data warehousing, or related field
  • Should have had 3+ years of working in agile setup.
  • Experience with data lake technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and data integration concepts
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and product management principles
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into product features and user stories
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with GxP process a plus
