Job Description

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Define & own the Product and Technology roadmap for the entire portfolio. Have a strong sales & customer connect to analyze market needs and technology trends to create on-time, on-cost differentiated offerings that earn significant ROI for the business.
  • Carry out Make vs Buy decisions for NPI development. Liaison with Engineering, Sourcing, QA teams to execute NPIs. Meet 100% say/do ratio on all NPIs. Align with Regional & Global counterparts for cross-learning and roadmap alignment.
  • End to end brand ownership and product lifecycle management (product phase-in/out, demand planning). Ensure portfolio is always relevant to the market with optimal brand mix to ensure all target segments are served profitably with minimal conflict and cannibalization.
  • Drive Pricing impact - Value New/Replacement projects via NPIs, Discount management, Cost pass through to protect margins.
  • Sales, channel and customer competency development through trainings and Marcom activities to ensure highly trained and motivated force behind the business. Plan and execute sales & channel incentive programs & schemes to drive volumes. Track win/loss and take corrective actions as and when required.
  • Lead competition intelligence and business analysis to drive the Strategies which includes identifying high-opportunity profitable markets, adjacencies, and/or segments, go to market strategies etc.
  • Implement marketing strategies aligned with the strategic plan. Align functional plans with the strategic plan.
  • Integrate inputs to develop distinctive product plans with outstanding financial outcomes; be competent in microeconomics, finance, VOC, research and analysis and basic marketing toolkit [market definition and sizing, segmentation, value management, targeting and positioning, pricing].

  • Proven track record of developing new products/solutions, leading NPI projects and teams that successfully achieve milestones and complete deliverables
  • Strong written & verbal communication and presentation skills to deliver effectively right message to the right audience
  • Major Experience and Skill Set in EMS Electronics +Buy to sell Products Mfg. and Strategic Sourcing
  • Strategic Sourcing Experience and Expertise to develop and manage EMS ,BTS Suppliers for Products Sourcing (not parts Sourcing )
  • Good exposure to handle of various commodities (Electronics, Fire, Security and BMS )
  • New supplier developments at India and global supply base for various commodities.
  • Detailed analysis to find out competitive supplies for various parts/products
  • Idea about open book costing for various products to negotiate with suppliers.
  • Able to make a ROI model for development/transition of any part and product
  • Should be able to drive ,coordinate with different stake holder like engineering ,quality ,marketing ,global team -and implement project end to end basis
  • Idea on supplier contracts to mitigate business risk.
  • Proven track record to interact with global teams and suppliers.
  • Positive and aggressive attitude to execute the actions on time.
  • Manage Supplier selection, RFQ and RFI process, Negotiation, Contracting and supplier performance processes
  • Ensure Relationship development and management with key Supplier Leaderships
  • Drive and execute Annual and Strategic Plan with supporting strategies
  • Right and Fast execution of strategies to align with business Growth
  • Manage and align -Category and Commodity Strategies including spend analysis, Benchmarking, Cost, Market Analysis and Global Technology / Economic trends
  • Keep internal and external customers and team members well communicated and on time in case of any issue or delay
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, spread across different cities
  • Well versed with MS Office; Familiarity with CRM programs (e.g. SFDC)
  • Ethics: Highest level of professional integrity and honesty as well as personal credibility.
  • Problem Solver: A creative yet pragmatic problem solver. Methodical and hands-on as well as detail-oriented. Should be able to structure a problem irrespective of domain.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • B. Tech or B.E from a reputed Institute; MBA preferred
  • Work experience of 10+ years with 3-5 years in relevant HVAC, BMS, Fire and Security industry
  • Customer facing experience in Technology/Solutions businesses is preferred
  • Marketing experience in segmentation, value pricing, new offering development is valuable
  • Results driven track record – proven ability to translate strategies into action and results
